Strategic Days on Commercial Leasing: Aubie J. Herscovitch and Léa Couture-Thériault will clarify leases’ insurance clauses and the notion of loss

Montreal, February 19, 2021 – As part of the Strategic Days on Commercial Leases which will be held on May 26 and 27, 2021, Aubie J. Herscovitch and Léa Couture-Thériault will give a conference titled Les clauses d’assurances dans vos baux et la notion de sinistre (your leases’ insurance clauses and the notion of loss) on May 26.

They will discuss the importance of negotiating insurance clauses to ensure that both landlords and tenants obtain complete insurance coverage and thus avoid litigation. Among other things, they will address risk management clauses’ common drafting mistakes . They will also explore the concept of  liability claim in the context of COVID-19 and business disruption.
