Aubie Herscovitch: Guiding a new generation
Montréal, February 24, 2017 – De Grandpré Chait is proud to highlight the involvement of Aubie Herscovitch within the mentoring program of the First Generation Network, a student committee aiming to support members of the Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Toronto, who are the first in their families to attend law or post-secondary school. These “first generation” students, who will face various challenges and access gaps, have decided to create a new committee to tackle some of the social, professional and financial issues that they may face during the course of their studies.
Through networking and a popular mentoring program, students are put in direct contact with seasoned lawyers who can teach them the tricks of the trade. Inspired by these students who, like him, wished to practise a profession different from those of their parents, Aubie Herscovitch has been paired with two first generation students he advises, supports and guides through this increasingly competitive market, giving them the tools necessary to have the same head start as anybody else in this business.
Congratulations to Aubie for his involvement in the future of our industry!
