Marc-André Perreault believes business law and taxation go hand in hand in successful commercial transactions.

Marc-André’s practice focuses on corporate and tax law. He helps clients devise their strategies, assists them with tax and estate planning and guides them through reorganizations and business sales and purchases. He represents individuals and companies and helps them with the legal, tax and corporate aspects of their commercial transactions, including business start-ups, management buy-outs, company transfers to successors and business sales or acquisitions.

He also helps clients make their corporate structures more tax-efficient by setting up trusts and providing advice on shareholder and executive compensation. He further assists clients by advising them on their business projects and drafting various commercial contracts and drafting tailored commercial contracts.

Marc-André holds a Master’s degree in law, taxation option, which he completed with honours, and teaches law and taxation at his alma mater, HEC Montréal. His Master’s thesis, Fiducies réputées du percepteur fiscal et insolvabilité : un guide à l’attention des investisseurs et des créanciers, earned him the 2015 excellence award from the Association de planification fiscale et financière.
