The Construction Law team is expanding

Montréal, September 29, 2020 – De Grandpré Chait is proud to welcome Jean-Philippe Asselin, new partner in the construction law team who joined the firm on August 24th. His practice also extends to commercial litigation, sureties and insurance law.

Called to the Bar in 2002, he provides sound advice to his clients in matters such as claims, legal hypothecs, surety bonds and contractors’ obligations, as well as matters relating to mortgage security and involving the Régie du bâtiment du Québec and the Commission de la construction du Québec. He advises a clientele that includes general and specialized contractors, mortgage lenders, and individuals. Having at heart the development of future generations in the legal community, he has been teaching at the Quebec Bar School for over 10 years.

With his addition to the team, clients will benefit from a new talent bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge.
