Montreal, September 5, 2018 – After completing their studies and internships at De Grandpré Chait, two of our former students have just joined the ranks of our lawyers. Following their swearing-in, Steffi Georges and Philippe Lachance joined their respective teams of business and commercial law and commercial litigation.
Holding a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Sherbrooke, Steffi Georges already participates, in close collaboration with our senior lawyers, in complex commercial and real estate transactions with companies from various sectors (technology, manufacturing, real estate, microbreweries, sports, etc.), at both provincial and federal levels. She is involved in, among other things, the drafting of contracts and corporate documentation, the due diligence process as well as the active participation and preparation of closing sessions with clients.
For his part, Philippe Lachance focuses his practice on commercial litigation. Holding a Bachelor of Law from the University of Montreal, he has been working, during his internship, with lawyers practising in litigation, construction and bankruptcy, and has collaborated on civil and commercial litigation as well as at major trials. He is involved in legal research, the drafting and review of legal proceedings, and providing constant support in all stages prior to the trial or the settlement of the case.
