Montreal, January 25, 2024 – It is with great joy that De Grandpré Chait welcomes its intern Sonia Ishimwe Ahimana as a lawyer specializing in real estate and transactional law. Her recent integration represents a significant gain and enriches the team with a new and dynamic perspective.
Throughout her academic career at McGill University, Sonia distinguished herself through her dedication and active engagement within the student community. She volunteered as a case worker at the McGill Legal Information Clinic during her second and third years of study. She also got involved in the McGill Black Law Students’ Association, where she served as Vice-President of Finance in her first year before taking the reins as Co-President the following year.
“I am very happy to start my career in a firm filled with talented, caring, and generous professionals. Learning from two teams is an opportunity that I welcome with open arms and which will undoubtedly be most enriching,” says Sonia Ishimwe Ahimana, expressing her enthusiasm for her new position.
Let’s join together in wishing Sonia a warm welcome and a successful career among us.
