De Grandpré Chait appoints Léa Couture-Thériault, Robert Greenberg, Mélanie Nguyen and Serena Trifiro as partners

Montreal, January 6, 2022 – De Grandpré Chait is pleased to announce the appointment of four of its associates as partners as of January 1, 2022.

Our new partners

A member of the firm since 2019, Léa Couture-Thériault‘s practice focuses primarily on commercial leasing, co-ownership law and real estate litigation. She handles disputes between commercial building owners and tenants, helping the parties navigate lease interpretation, rent payment and mutual obligation fulfillment. Passionate about both the law and real estate, Léa often contributes to the discussion as a speaker or panellist at major real estate conferences in Québec.

Robert Greenberg has been a key member of the real estate transactions team since 2019. An ingenious practitioner with a wide-ranging knowledge of the real estate sector, he represents owners, developers and lenders. Robert brings value to both his clientele and the law firm by participating in all phases of a real estate transaction, including some of the largest real estate transactions in the province.

With an MBA to her credit and experience working in both the private and public sectors, Melanie Nguyen has been bringing a dual strength to the tax litigation team since her arrival in 2018. Melanie is also well versed in the tax implications of digital commerce, a valuable skill set in the context of a rapidly expanding digital economy.

When Serena Trifiro joined the litigation team last year, she brought with her a deep knowledge of commercial and civil litigation. She represents both individuals and businesses in civil liabilities, commercial litigation, injunctive reliefs, hidden defects and property dispute matters.

These appointments are a testament to the diligence of our lawyers and we are proud of their professional development.
