Philippe Lachance

Philippe’s practice focuses primarily on estate litigation, where he advises and represents liquidators, trustees, administrators, beneficiaries and other stakeholders in the prevention, management and resolution of complex estate disputes. His practice includes will challenges, disputes relating to the administration and liquidation of estates, claims between beneficiaries, applications for the passing of accounts, as well as matters involving capacity, trusts and the protection of estate assets.

Philippe is also recognized for his real estate litigation practice, advising and representing developers, property owners, condominium corporations, contractors, financial institutions and businesses in disputes involving commercial leases, divided co-ownership, servitudes, emphyteusis, construction defects, contractual disputes and real property claims. His practical, strategic approach enables him to assist clients in both preventing disputes and resolving them through negotiation or litigation.

A trusted advisor, Philippe is recognized for his ability to quickly identify the legal and commercial issues at the heart of each matter and develop practical, effective strategies aligned with his clients’ objectives. He regularly acts in complex litigation matters and appears before all civil courts in Québec, including the Court of Québec and the Superior Court of Québec.
