Montreal, May 2, 2018 – Julie Tremblay, a lawyer in civil and penal tax litigation, will be a guest speaker at the 25th Consumption Tax Symposium of the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF) to be held from May 27th to May 29th, 2018, at the Estérel Resort Hotel (Estérel, Québec). Julie will be presenting a session called “Panel pénal” on May 28, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. wherein she will discuss, in extensive detail, the latest developments regarding penal tax litigation with respect to consumption taxes. Also examined, the importance of the Jarvis case for a taxpayer who is being audited, the evolution of handling delays in connection with penal tax litigation and the administration of sentencing in tax matters.
