Marc-André Perreault

Judy-Ann Mitchell-Turgeon

According to Marc-André Perreault, business law and taxation are inseparable for anyone who wants to succeed in a commercial transaction.

Specializing in corporate and tax law, Marc-André maximizes his knowledge in order to equip his clients with the tools they need in terms of strategy, as well as tax and estate planning, and guide them through reorganizations and the purchase or sale of businesses. As part of his practice, he guides individuals and businesses through the legal, tax and corporate components of their commercial transactions, including the start-up phase, a management buy-out, the transfer of an existing company to successors as well as the sale or acquisition of a business. He maximizes the tax efficiency of his clients’ corporate structure, most notably by setting up trusts and advising his clients on shareholder and executive compensation. He drafts various commercial contracts, adapting them to the sectors of activity in which his clients operate, and he offers advice concerning business projects.

Having graduated with honours, Marc-André holds a master’s degree in law, with a concentration in taxation, and teaches the Law and Taxation course at his alma mater, HEC Montréal. In fact, his master’s thesis Fiducies réputées du percepteur fiscal et insolvabilité : un guide à l’attention des investisseurs et des créanciers earned him the 2015 award of excellence from the Association de planification fiscale et financière.
